Kicking myself!  I just finished my 30 minute treadmill work-out.  I was so full of energy today.  I gave it everything I had.  Alternating between the breathless mode and the full power throttle.  I knew I was doing better today.

It was the last 4 minutes that I didn’t think I would finish.  I felt myself giving up.  I felt myself so tired and without air.  I felt the salty burning of sweat in my eyes.  Those last 4 minutes felt like hours.  Of course, before that I was getting exhausted, but still capable.

My stats today:

  • 2.48 miles - 15-30 more seconds running @ 6.2 and I would have hit the 2.5 mark.
  • 328 calories burned - this is the least of my worries - although this means breakfast and coffee w/cream is zero calories.  SWEET!
  • 9 Aerobic points- wow!  I used to be a permanent fixture in the 6-7 range.  Recently I hit the 8’s.  I never dreamed a 9.  This is sooo cool.
  • 5.0 MPH - I’m moving up.  1.2 mph higher and I will be able to complete a 5k in 1/2 hour - my goal/dream.

I’m so nervous.  I know it is silly, but my weigh in for the Biggest Loser has me sitting on pins and needles.  2 1/2 more hours and I’ll be hitting the scale.  On a positive note, I will also be measured for inches lost and fat % eliminated.  Those are the 2 I really, really care about.

I know my size has went down - I just want to see it in numbers!

One of the great things I took away from Huddle this year was Richard Vogt’s talk on Health and Stress. Richard is planting a church(es) in Las Vegas, and spoke about the simple math of losing weight. If we can cut 3500 calories per week, that equals a 1 lb per week weight loss.

I have started on a 2000 calorie per day diet as of last Saturday. I am using on online calorie counter to calculate everything I eat. The site will track weight loss, carb, sat. fats, proteins, etc. and graph my progress. I have been doing great so far, even munching on raw carrots when I get hungry. Even last night at our Fall Fellowship at church, I behaved myself and only went 200 calories over for the day.

I am trying to drop 22 pounds to get down to 180 and I’m already feeling better.

I finally did it! I lost 7 lbs and finally broke 160 lbs! This morning I weighed in at 158 lbs! I’m so excited! Thank you Super Soup and will power, and thank you to all of you. I’ve never been able to complete the challenge until now. I knew I couldn’t cheat because I’d have to report back to all of you and I didn’t want to let you down. So thanks for just being there.

Well, I only have about a month and a half left on my gym membership. Somebody kick my butt already so I have to go to the gym. I want to, but it just doesn’t seem like I have the drive I need. I’m gonna regret it so much when my time is up. I mean, I can sign up on their monthly program, but right now I’m on a six month plan and it came with a discount, the regular monthly program doesn’t. Grrr! Maybe just leave me an encouraging comment or something. I definitely need the motivation. Thanks so much guys.
