Today was my last day at work. I’ll return around May 1st. When boss A was leaving (early, I might add) he wished me a happy New Year and asked when I’m working again. I told him, and he said, “YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU’RE NOT GOING TO BE BACK IN HERE UNTIL MAY? NOT UNTIL MAY?” Which made me feel kinda good, like I’m going to be missed, or he’s not looking foward to working with the people under me. I know what I’m doing and don’t have emotional outbursts, like some other workers. He has a weird way of showing his feelings sometimes. Whatever it was, it was a positive reaction, as in good.

What do you have for New Year’s Eve dinner? We have Chinese food, same place every year. Like most, if not all take-out, it’s good tasting, not good for you. It’ll be like a last hurrah for me with junk food. We bought it yesterday and heated it up tonight, too crazy to get the food on the eve. This way: no lines, no waiting, no price gouging. On the menu-$25 appitizer platter, vegetable lo mein (me), chicken chop suey (my mother), house fried rice, beef with broccilli (hubby).

I slept through New Year’s eve again. After working and dinner I was tired, so I was going to lay down until the 11 o’clock news. Didn’t get up until 2am. Last year I was suffereing through a relapse of bronchitis, so I slept through it then also. This year, I forgot to put coins on the doorstep. You put them out before midnight, take them in after and you’ll be bringing money in the house all year. I guess this year we’re going to be broke.

2007-the year in review:
I realized today that I’ve gone the whole work year (may to Jan) without having to call the boss and tell them I’m running late. I cannot recall having to do this at all this year, although I’ve called S ot CC and told them to stall A or butter him up, but that wasn’t even necessary.

New Year’s Resolutions 2008-
BTW-I have a lot of stuff to work on, I’ve fallen off the wagon, so to day, on many levels. Lemme put it this way-it’s about setting limits, reasonable limits. I can’t live a free for all with sitting around, smoking, drinking, and eating. Notice I didn’t mention drugs? Like pills, a lil speed or diet pill of some sort. Where are they? They have been impossible to get, I think my only avenue would be the good doctor down the street, and I don’t feel like seeing him again, not yet. And the joint and pot under the kitchen table? I forget it’s there and couldn’t be bothered with it. Pot slows your metabolism and makes you hungry.

  • no more McDonald’s, Burger King or other fast food
  • eat vegetables every day, try to get some fruit in, too.
  • try to get on that crappy exercise bike daily, or walk (weather permitting) and GO TO THE GYM on a regular basis, daily, or a couple of times a week
  • don’t drink so much-beer and wine have calories and carbs
  • No more Pepsi!**
  • as much as the job is draining me of my life, I’d like to be a better caregiver for my mother, I need to put the extra effort into taking care of her like I did last year. Be more pleasant. I began to slip off the wagon with that when I went back to work.
  • work on things with hubby. Don’t be such a bitch all the time, spend more time with him, and quality time.
  • get my sleeping in order, no more up all night and sleeping until….uh, late in the afternoon.
  • Some things I’m terrified of “giving up” completely.

  • aim for only 1 cappichino blast crap coffee a week
  • How about cutting down the amount of cigarettes I smoke a day?
  • stop lusting after blue and my girl. Where is it getting me? It’s not helping my marriage. I have also thrown out all of Blue’s out and return slips from work, even the ones I painted pictures on, the ones I tied up with my hair, and I threw out the poem I wrote to him. I don’t even remember how it goes anymore. Something about swimming and drowning in the ocean in his eyes. Corny, huh?
  • Happy New Year everyone!

**Pepsi, I am back in a nearly full blown Pepsi addiction. When I was the teenager of the house, and up until my early 20’s I drank pepsi like water. Real, sugary, caffinated pepsi. When I was around 25 or so, gave it all up, started eating right and excersizing and dropped a shitload of weight. Didn’t touch the pepsi for years, didn’t miss it either, until this past spring when I returned to work. It started oh so innocently, just one pepsi at work on Saturdays (when I could get it from the fountain), then it was on firday nights, then every day at work, then I started drinking it at home on my days off. Giving that shit up on the first.

Hate Morning Exercise? Here are 5 Reasons to Love itBe honest! And accept that it is the greatest challenge, which you have to meet everyday if you wish to keep fit. You have to get up early and exercise. And you hate leaving your bed so early! Even when you know that exercise can do wonders for your health and physical beauty, you just cannot be motivated enough to love exercise. 1. Exercising early in the morning “jump starts” your metabolism, keeping it elevated for hours, sometimes for up to 24 hours! As a result, you’ll be burning more calories all day long–just because you exercised in the morning. 2. Exercising in the morning energizes you for the day–not to mention that gratifying feeling of virtue you have knowing you’ve done somethingdisciplined and good for you. (Much better than a worm!) 3. Studies have shown that exercise significantly increases mental acuity–a benefit that lasts four to ten hours after your workout ends. Exercising in the a.m. means you get to harness that brainpower, instead of wasting it while you’re snoozing. 4. Assuming you make exercise a true priority, it shouldn’t be a major problem to get up 30 to 60 minutes earlier–especially since regular exercise generally means a higher quality of sleep, which in turn means you’ll probably require less sleep. (If getting up 30 to 60 minutes earlier each day seems too daunting, you can ease into it with 10 to 20 minutes at first.) 5. When you exercise at about the same time every morning–especially if you wake up regularly at about the same time–you’re regulating your body’s endocrine system and circadian rhythms. Your body learns that you do the same thing just about every day, and it begins to prepare for waking and exercise several hours before you actually open your eyes. Exercise Extra: More than 90% of those who exercise consistently have a morning fitness routine. If you want to exercise on a regular basis, the odds are in your favor if you squeeze your workout into the a.m. Regular exercising along with medicines like Xenical, a weight loss pill can do wonders for people with stubborn fat. But, buy Xenical only on the instructions of your Doctor. You would not get a Xenical prescription unless you are an obese. Exercise along with healthy eating habit can actually make you feel energetic through out the day and help you get rid of body toxins. As a result, you become fit, healthy and beautiful day by day. And as healthy mind dwells in a healthy body, you calmly accomplish all your tasks of the day. Each perfect day leads you to a satisfied lifein every spherefrom work to sex! Thats the magic of exercise! Try it to believe it.

While the mainstream fitness media still insists that aerobic exercise is a great way to lose weight, Turbulence Training users know that interval training is the better way to burn body fat.

    Still not convinced?

A recent study published by the North American Association for the Study of Obesity, subjects aged 40 to 75 were instructed to do 60 minutes of aerobic exercise per day for 6 days per week for an entire year.

Given the amount of exercise, you’d expect weight losses of 20, 30 pounds, or more, right?

Well, the surprise findings showed the average fat loss for female subjects was only 4 pounds for the entire year, while men lost 6.6 pounds of fat over the year. That’s over 300 hours of aerobic exercise just to lose a measly 6 pounds of blubber. Not time well spent, in my opinion.

So what’s the better way? Stick with Turbulence Training, using interval training and strength training to get better bodysculpting results. With intervals, you’ll achieve more fat burning results in less workout time.

The next time you are out exercising, perform a session of interval training. If you are walking or running outside, find an incline challenge you for 60 seconds, then walk down for 60-120 seconds, and repeat up to 6 times.

If you walk or run on a treadmill, adjust the incline or speed to safely challenge for 60 seconds, then return to the normal pace for 60-120 seconds, and repeat up to 6 times.

You can also use a rowing machine, bicycle or stationary bike, or even an elliptical machine to do intervals.

But whatever you do, stay away from boring, ineffective cardio exercise workouts and stick with Turbulence Training for your fat burning program.
