I am sure you all want to know what is the correct calorie intake to lose weight? It is a complicated topic when discussing losing weight. There is a lot of research that tells you that you need about 1,600 calories a day to healthfully lose weight. However, it is also suggested that you have 1,200 and will still lose weight. People that commonly consume 1,200 a day say that they are restless and irritable. I like to start off in the middle by consuming 1,400 calories a day and seeing how I feel.

Write down your feelings and find out what is best for you. For instance, I had 1,400 calories today and I don’t feel any restlessness or irritability so the next day I would try 1,300 and a twenty minuet workout. Make sure you drink plenty of water too. By staying hydrated your metabolism speeds up, as a result you lose weight. Everyone is different so different calorie intakes are different for each individual.

Let’s take another situation and consume 1,600 calories a day. This seems to still cause restlessness and irritability. What do you do? Is your calorie intake to lose weight incorrect? It is possible that 1,600 calories a day is too much of a drastic change for you, so start slow! I have seen people try to lose a ton of weight right from the get go and end of failing and gaining all of that weight back again. I would recommend that you buy a calorie counter and try to reduce your calorie intake everyday. Also, every week try to increase your workout by about 5 minuets a day. Don’t try to run 20 miles your first day and then not want to move the next day, which is pointless.
