Let’s recap: During the last 2 weeks of March I experienced mongo weight loss; and, during, the first two weeks of April…nada, zip, zilch. I wanted to do South Beach Phase One to be able to say I did it. I did it. But I didn’t lose any weight. I re-read my journals from the ‘losing weight’ phases and there are a lot of beans and whole grains. I think I need a shakeup – I need to cut down on eggs, dairy, red meat, nuts, avocado, and olive oil; as well as adding back the fruit, legumes, and whole grains. I love my SB menus – omelettes, tuna salads, chicken and vegetables…I could do it every day. I did it every day. I`m even tempted to do a big ole cheat day – it worked for me before! But I can`t think of a single `bad` food that is even remotely appetizing…isn`t that crazy? Oh well, the day will come. Maybe it’s high time to try on a little fateau for size. Just relax and coast a bit. Oh, wait a minute, that`s right, that`s what I have been doing for the last two weeks! In other complaints, I got stood up by my after-school walking partner yesterday. I intentionally skipped my before-school workout in order to avoid the overtraining problem I ran into (literally) last week. I could have gone solo after school, but I re-did my taxes (we do have till the end of the month in Canada, and I came up with a refund this time instead of paying out the hooper . You forget to add one little number (big number) and it all goes blooey! Did I mention I hate doing my taxes? Today is my triple-play day – gym, walk, aqua-fit. Oh dear. Makes my shins shudder just thinking about it.
