I don’t know why it work, maybe guilt perhaps? But I find that keeping a diet diary is actually a very effective tool to shed some weight.

With a diet diary, you can easily list down the food that you take in, and if you happen to slip, you can easily record it and make a plan to cut back on the next day, or maybe on the next meal.

A diet diary will also keep calorie tracking a synch, especially if you print out in advance the most common food you take in and the calories they contain!
If you hear or run across tips that you think may be effective on you, you can instantly jot them down, or tack them up, and you will have a reminder to actually implement them right away!

A diet diary is also a good way to track how many pounds you’ve lost in the course of a long time. For those down days when you feel like giving up, all you need to do is validate the progress you’ve made and encourage yourself to keep going!
