For this reason, it’s important to have access to impartial sources of health information you can trust. This newsletter is published by Duke University is published monthly and features twelve pages of well researched, up to date information on some of the most common medical problems as well as strategies for preventing disease. Some health issues discussed in the past include breakthroughs in arthritis treatment, heart attack and cancer prevention strategies, the role of red wine in the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease, and the controversy surrounding the use of supplemental antioxidants. journals are searched for the latest studies on a particular medical topic and then presented in a clear, easy to understand manner with tips on how to use the information presented. On Health
If you like the objective, unbiased information Consumer Reports gives you in its magazine, you’ll love this monthly newsletter which not only makes you aware of the latest medical news, but also gives you unbiased information for managing your own health. You’ll learn which health related products are worth buying and which are harmful or a waste of money. Some topics covered in previous issues include the straight facts about hair loss, the vaccinations you need as an adult, exercises to save your shoulders, what to do if you’re seeing spots, and how to eat defensively at fast food restaurants. Mayo Clinic Health Letter
This is another informative and well written newsletter which covers a variety of practical health issues along with results of the latest medical research from the Mayo Clinic. Also included is a monthly health tip. Published monthly, this newsletter averages around eight pages which is less than the twelve pages you receive when you subscribe to Health News but the information is well researched and the price is reasonable.
