Weight loss is a very difficult task because you have to change the way you live your life. Successful weight loss and lasting weight loss is only done by changing your lifestyle. Making changes with regards to what foods you consume and your exercise habits.

Losing weight isn’t about how fast you can shed the pounds; instead it is about keeping the weight off permanently. You should be aware that it took time to gain the weight, thus it’s going to take time to lose the weight. It is important to change even one thing. For example how many sweets you eat or how often you exercise.

Make rational changes. Don’t decide to never eat sweets again. Instead take steps to removing the amount of sweets. Let state you eat 5 candy bars a week, try and reduce that to 3 candy bars a week.

By making sensible changes your chances success increase dramatically. Following through on your changes will energize you. It is normal for the first step to be the most trying, so make it the easiest to accomplish. Realize a lot of little steps will equal a large step.

Frequently people will revert back to their old lifestyle. This is nothing to get frazzled by it is normal. What determine your success is, if you can return to your new healthy lifestyle. Thus, it is important to take small steps and make it effortless to return to your healthy lifestyle.

When you make your initial changes just look at a healthier lifestyle. The aim is to get healthy and that will bring about weight loss. Think about the places in your life where you can minimize your unhealthy habits, such as eating too many sweets or exercise. Then make a sensible change and stick with it.

If you are looking for more instant results and need to shed the some weight this day then consider a diet tablet. Some have been found to be effective. Don’t forget the idea is to get healthy so make your lifestyle changes also.

Akavar is a diet tablet that some have found to be useful in weight loss. It works on restricting the number of calories your body absorbs from food. Just remember to make your lifestyle changes along with taking a diet tablet.

Push-ups are pretty easy (so far).

I might sing a different tune when I try to crank out 100 of them six weeks from now.

With 30 push-ups done in my push-up test, hundredpushups.com said my first day’s workout would include four sets of push-ups: 10, 10, 8, 6 and a maximum set of at least 7. I wound up doing 10, 10, 8, 6, 20. This was Sunday night.

Danny told me to pay close attention to the rest times between sets, as that will have a lot to do with progressing toward  the eventual 100-push-up goal.

In other news, I did both cardio and upper body on Sunday morning. I have a lot more energy now than I used to, and I’ve noticed I can stack cardio and resistance workouts with no more exhaustion than I used to get from doing one or the other.

Danny says I can stack push-up workouts on upper-body weight training days — but not the day before or the day after, as that will mess up my recovery period. In this way, we’re adding the 100-push-up goal on top of the 4.5% body fat loss goal. I’m sure I can do them on lower-body training days too, as the exercises are completely unrelated.

According to Danny, push-ups will not help my weight training as much as my weight training will allow me to do more push-ups.

Hi everyone! This is my very first blog post and it won’t be my last! I am so grateful to have found BuddySlim. The support through Buddies, forums and blogs is priceless! I really believe that without this support I will just end up re-trying the weight loss battle over and over and I am tired of it. I have got 20-25 pounds left to lose. How do I plan on doing this….accountability through this blog and going to BuddySlim for the excellent support!

So I have set up challenge and it starts today June, 30th, 2008! You will notice my profile pic…I have it labeled “My Soon To Be Before Picture” For now this will be a challenge. I am super excited to see what results I can get in one month. I have decided to not be on a specific ‘diet’ but rather I am taking this chance to make a complete ‘lifestyle’ change. If I can’t keep the changes I make forever then the results will not last forever either. So from this day on I am going to do the following:

Blog daily.

Make healthy eating choices.

Drink 1/2 my body weight in ounces of water each day. (This is the recommendation.)

Weigh myself daily. (I know a lot of people don’t believe in doing this but I am choosing to do this as I find it personally motivational)

Exercise. 30-60 minutes each day of cardio/strength with Sunday’s being optional.

No eating after 8 P.M. (I admit it, I binge at night and I truly believe it is my BIGGEST stumbling block…I know it is!)

Starting Stats are:

Begining Weight 145 pounds

Band Size: 31″

Bust Size: 37.5″

Upper Arm: 11.25″

Waist: 33″

Hips: 41″

Upper Thigh: 25.5″

I am super excited to see what happens after actually following through with commitment/challenge!
