I didn’t even realize how much time has passed since I last posted here at ! Things have been very busy on the personal side, and although I would like to be more consistent with posting new material on , or eliminate cellulite, or however you want to word it, I have a pretty hectic personal schedule, so I’m still learning how to balance the demands of please bear with me. As this blog progresses, and the topics of the blog expand, I’ve been learning that I have much more of an interest in natural ways to get rid of cellulite, or basically anything that’s non-surgical and non-chemical. As I have often stated in past posts, I have no problem with anyone that chooses any kind of cellulite reduction procedure that requires surgery, or even chooses some kind of cellulite reducing pill, or lotion, or cream, or what have you…I just find that I’m more drawn to more holistic ways of combating cellulite. This has involuntarily become the focus of this blog, and while I will not rule out anything that will be conducive to cellulite reduction, weight loss, and overall better physical health, I will more than likely continue to explore this somewhat narrow vein of subject matter, I guess until I feel like I have either exhausted it, or just plain get bored with it (LOL). At any rate, as we discuss how to combat cellulite, there are always contributing factors to cellulite formation, and as you and I both know, nothing ever appears out of thin air. Although we live in a society that likes to deny that effects do indeed have causes, deep down all of us know that if something is right there staring us in the face, it had to come from somewhere. With this in mind, much of this talk of combating cellulite needs to be focused on how cellulite came to be there in the first place. There are a few factors to consider, and I want to present them not as cold hard & fast rules, but rather just probable causes of cellulite.

Many journals like to report that genetics, heredity, and the hand you’ve been dealt at the gene pool have much to do with why cellulite has reared its ugly head in those problem areas (think hips, thighs, buttocks, etc.). As I believe I have stated before, cellulite can be found in approximately 90% of post-pubescent women…that’s a pretty staggering figure, and one that Hollywood and the celebrity crowd would not like for you to believe. That literally means that you could randomly pick any 100 women walking on a busy street in Manhattan, and only 10 of them would not have some evidence of cellulite on their bodies somewhere. This is actually fairly encouraging (in a weird way), because it lets you know that you are not alone…there are many women engaged in this fat reduction/cellulite reduction fight with you. Another contributing factor is simply having a poor diet. Any type of diet that can wreak havoc on your metabolism simply due to the type of foods that are being consumed can qualify as a poor diet. This includes the usual suspects such as fried foods, high-fat foods in general, foods that are over-laden with sugar and empty carbs, as well as alcoholic beverages and excessive caffeine. (Some of you are probably saying Well, what kind of foods are left that I can eat? You named all the good stuff. LOL) Processed foods are a very formidable accomplice as well, because they are known for loading your body with toxins that are hard to get rid of, which in turn end up getting trapped in those fat cells, which again contributes to the development of cellulite. There are those in the medical and nutritional community that argue whether or not the diet has any true consequential effect on cellulite formation, and some go so far as to deny that the two are connected in any way. My response to them is—hey, the worst that can happen if you modify your diet to only consume those types of food in moderation is that you actually add years to your life, and improve your overall health anyway. So, cellulite aside, it’s never a bad idea to give your general diet a good overhaul…it can only help in the long run.

Now I have only named two contributing factors to cellulite development, and I’m already realizing that I just don’t have the time to name all of them on my list in this one post…got family business to attend to. So, I’ll have to postpone until a more conducive time…in the meantime, I encourage you to in every way that you can, and take a multi-faceted approach to conquer this stubborn beast. Until next time…

It seems like advertisements are everywhere for weight loss plans that promise you the moon when it comes to taking off those extra pounds you seem to have found. Especially if you're up in the middle of the night and you happen to flip on the television.

The informercials all brag that their weight loss plans are the best and are the ones that will work for you. What they don't tell you is that probably the only thing you will really lose if you sink your hard earned dollars into their program is your money!

Actually, there are weight loss plans that will work that won't cost you anything more than what you would normally spend on food and fitness facilities. One of the crucial aspects of these natural self-styled weight loss plans is that you challenge yourself by making an agreement with yourself.

The bad news is that weight loss plans are never instantaneous. The good news is that if you make a hard and fast decision that you are simply not going to give up, you can see that goal of a slimmer healthier body some day!

Low Carbohydrates

One of the most common weight reduction plans is to reduce the amount of carbohydrates that you take. This plan works for many people. There are many diet plans available today that claim to be less in carbohydrates like the famous Atkins diet.

The plan demands you to reduce as much carbohydrates from your diet as you can. However you should note that the plans says Low Carbohydrates, it doesn't says No Carbohydrates. You can get carbohydrates from various fresh fruits as well. You can eat those fruits and vegetables. What you should cut out from your diet is excessive breads and grains that usually cause weight gain.

This plan is really great and it has worked for many people. One important consideration is that you should always see to it that you don't gain weight after losing it. For that you should always restrict carbohydrates in your diet.

Low Fat Diet

One of the most effective weight loss plans is to reduce or eliminate fat from your diet. Although it is very difficult to cut off complete fat from your diet straight away but if you can manage to gradually remove fat from your diet, it means that you will have a newer you after couple of months. You will reach your goal within a span of few months.

This plan has worked for the majority of people who have tried it at least. If you are willing to follow this plan, then make sure that you never touch a diet that contains more than 10 grams of fat. Consult a nutritionist to get a better picture of all foods along with their fat contents. What you have to do is to calculate the amount of fat your diet contains and restrict yourself to the diet that contains less than 10 grams of fat.

By following this plan, you will intake less calories which will make sure that you won't gain obesity and if this weight loss plan is accompanied by regular physical exercises then it means that you are eating fewer calories and burning more calories; which would result in weight loss. Some people do say that this plan doesn't work since it allows you to eat everything that is low in fat, however, this plan has worked more than any other plan so you should at least give it a try for few months and then conclude whether it was a practical and effective plan or not.

Low Calorie Diet

Another weight loss plan is to have a low calorie diet. We know that most of the time the amount of calories that we intake is far more than the amount of calories that we burn everyday because of lack of exercises and other activities that helps in burning the calories. So another solution would be to have a low calorie diet.

You can easily get diet charts or can easily consult a nutritionist that can tell you how many calories you should intake daily in order to sustain your current weight. The calculation mainly depends upon your activity levels. However, mostly this amount is calculated by multiplying your weight by 13 to 15 and then subtracts 500.

This formula will give you the amount of calories that you should intake everyday to sustain your current weight. This plan works really well provided that you include healthy exercises in your weight loss plan as well.

All of the above mentioned fat loss plans really work as long as you show commitment and enthusiasm. You have to adhere to these plans for a longer period of time to get sustainable results.
