My Top 3

So last week I gave you an update on the weight-loss with charts. I’m happy to say that this week the measurements were even better! My weight is up just .1lbs (I know) but I’m OK with that because my measurements show I’m losing some weight. Since I’ve been more active this week with exercise, it seems I’m gaining some muscle, which will slow my weight-loss down.

See, when you start working out, you gain muscle and eventually, you gain enough muscle that you begin to lose weight rapidly. So the first few weeks you will be gaining muscle and not see much weight-loss but soon, the weight begins to fly off.

After 5 weeks of weight-loss I’ve lost 7 pounds and several inches of fat off my body. Granted, our lifestyles are changing in a few weeks when we both go back to school, but it’s still been amazing to see results.

We never really thought about resolutions for this year, although we are carrying over some from this past year.

  • Lose weight
  • Get more exercise
  • Drink plenty of water each day (9 cups for Becca and 12 for Gray)
  • Continue to eat healthy portions
  • Becca wants a 4.0gpa for her first semester back to school
  • Gray wants to graduate in December
  • Becca wants to get into Nursing school in the fall
  • Finish the Lord’s Supper puzzle we started 9 months ago!
  • Keep in better touch with friends and family
  • Go on a mini vacation in August

The list could go on and on, but that would get silly. So, here is to another week of weight-loss!
